Hello! My name is Leandro HBL and I was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, in 1977. I graduated in Communication and Arts at Pontifícia Catholic University of Minas Gerais (1999), where I lately taught Audiovisual Communication. In 1996 I formed MOSQUITO VIDEO & DESIGN, where I was the creative director. I work with video, illustration, graphic design, photography, cinematography or interactive design. I often coordinate projects that combine these disciplines.

I started my career in Cuba in 1998 with the documentary called MIRA. At the time, I was studying Cinematography at the International Cinema and TV School of Cuba (San Antonio de Los Baños). From 2003 to 2006 I had the opportunity to work in FABRICA’s Audiovisual Department where I developed creative and commercial work in photography, video and installation. FABRICA is the Benetton Research and Development Communication Center (www.fabrica.it). I have been represented as a director by the German production company EMENES (www.emenes.de), in Brazil by CONSPIRAÇÃO FILMES (www.conspira.com.br), and in USA by MAD DECENT (www.maddecent.com).
